LAPP Insulators Alumina offers years of experience in the manufacture of special tubes in aluminium oxide and particular know-how in the design and manufacture of ceramic-to-metal composites. LAPP Insulators Alumina has been the development partner of major OEM’s for many years, offering a broad spectrum of tubes for vacuum interrupters and capacitors ranging from 3 mm to 305 mm in diameter. Vacuum interrupter tubes are offered for applications of up to 100kV.
Product capabilities
Starting with ceramic powder mixing, through metallisation, to the final plating of the tubes, all processes and procedures are carefully monitored by expert personnel; all under one roof. All metallised tubes for vacuum chambers and capacitors are produced to specific customer requirements at a uniformly high quality level. Since 2013, LAPP Insulators Alumina has been offering the use of FEM computer-aided design methods, enabling reliable statements to be generated concerning the stress profile, break potential and working life of these ceramics and ceramic-to-metal composite tubes.
